Bastard Stew was a delayed comic book projet Al Rio did prepare with writer Doug Miers. Though not entirely ready for publishing, its artistry was pushed as always by Rio whom produced numerous preliminar work (like model sheets featuring each character that can be checked in Luscious : The Collected Art Of Al Rio, p.15 to 18) and 32 finished interior pages plus 2 covers.

Undercover agents Rita and Thomas are taking chances to spirit his precious laptop computer data away from a mafia boss. But a competing rebel underworld duo's in the place too with the same purpose...
