11''x17'' pencils only.
Cool ancient marked Campbell-styled pinup by Al Rio.

Enormous pinup drawing (I mean on the sheet), I assure you.
Very impressive in hand.

Definitely, Terry ! I dunno if you remember but this good girl art is really immense in hand, and these pencils do really show how sure Al's hand is.
Hand drawn details are really really cool to observe in person on this very piece. A very cool comic styled pinup. Plus it shows here or there quick construct strokes, which I tend to like on an original.
In a word, I'm very glad Al left this piece on the pencils stage (!). ^^

SEXY, and it is the other way round, Campbell uses Rio's style!! (JSC gives his own swing to it, but Rio was first :-)

I closely followed this auction to the very end. Although I'm sad I didn't get to own this masterpiece, I am happy that she has found a very good home. Congrats Christophe!

Hi Con ! Well, saw Mr. Mol's comment and sincerely can't much argue about it : I dunno Campbell's body of work well enough.
In the art description I was referring about the facial line style. To me, Campbell and Rio approaches are very differents on the body proportionning (legs, feet), making me a huge Rio fan and a... well, less fanatic Campbell one.
Even if on this very one the very tight waist recalls Campbell's way of doing things...

I was only referring to the face, very vintage JSC :)

Christophe, another beauty!!! Al Rio does such outstanding pieces and I'm so happy for you. :) I agree with you that keeping this in its pencil stage is the best. Sometimes inking causes loss of the fine details plus I like to see the fine strokes of when an artist first lays pencil to paper. A terrific score, my friend!! :)
