You're totally right, this is Tony's interpretation of the Mad!'s lines, as can be noticed notably on Shanna's facial. There could be others, for Joe left some places for interpretation here of there on these very pencils here to inks which by definition are necessarily to be crisp and sharp everywhere. These are just killer : inks are neat, and Tony must have spent HOURS on it for everything is detailed back to front. He plainly did his best to stick to Mad!'s... uh.. Gorillaz style (if I can put it this way?) and succeeded a cool way, but you are right I do totally agree with you, could be cool to glimpse what other skilled inkers can do out of this page (!) It truly is a pleasure to be able to glimpse the original pencils you just uploaded. You got a killer page !! (respect!) Posted on 3/19/2011
