I can only figure myself François Miville-Deschênes as abit retired and meditative artist, living in a somewhat far far away Quebec wild covered with snow countryside...     :P  ;)

The guy produces grand sized paintings featuring epic sceneries, with a dazzling broad panel of medias, as well as, indifferently, more usual comic art pages both in format and media...
Some of his plates for the Conquests portfolio featuring sarmatian Shadow Sculptresses or the one featuring Thusia w/ spear & shield, though not the most complex of his illustrations, kinda count amongst my fav M.-D. illustrations.
