DANY

.

Dany, pen name of Daniel Henrotin, counts amongst the well-known franco-belgian comic artists and authors.
After studying graphics and advertising at the School of Fine Art of Liège, he joined the art studio of Greg (Michel Régnier), editor-in-chief of the Tintin magazine. Regularly collaborating to the magazine with illustrations and short stories, he also set up with Greg his own project, resulting in the creation of the poetic and humorous 'Olivier Rameau' series in 1968.
If much of Dany's early work was drawn in a comical style, he also developped a more realistic drawing style while collaborating with writer Jean Van Hamme, starting in the late 1970s, with "Story Without a Hero", to name but one.

But wouldn't be exactly truthful if not admitting the artistry that made me aware of his name in the first place may be the stupendous painting illustrations he did featuring Colombe for many comic festivals over Europe... and the stunning supa sexy ones gracing the "Blagues Coquines" multiple volumes' covers, published by P&T Production and Joker Éditions !
